THE AWARDS:

A concept by Kirri Liepins and the members of the Beatles Slash Yahoo! Group, these awards are designed to praise the talented, hard-working authors who toil relentlessly over their stories of amorous Liverpudlian gents. All stories are nominated and voted by the members of the fandom as well as anybody who visits the websites. You don't have to be a Beatles slasher to applaud good work!

This is a site to give praise to those who have achieved excellence in fan fiction, to those visionary authors who have made us laugh and cry. This is for the writers who have shared their talents with us, for having fun with the Beatles' innuendos and suggestiveness. This is our way of saying thank you to the unsung heroes who have made us squeee and giggle as the plot bunnies have bounced merrily!

The Beatles Slash Yahoo! Group has enjoyed popularity within the fandom for being a friendly and active community. The community has survived through regular members and strong support of Beatles slash, whether they were written by group members or outside fandom members. The Beatles Slash Fiction Awards are an extension of the group's common appreciation for the genre and for the band.
