A newcomer to Rydell High School, Michael is an exchange student here at Rydell High. The cousin of former Rydell student, Sandy Olson and friend to longtimer, Frenchy.

It's on his first day at Rydell that Michael meets one Stephanie Zinone. He instantly becomes smitten with her and from that point onwards, does everything in his power to win her heart. He develops a plan to "knock her out of her bobby-socks". Will he suceed? Only time will tell.

Michael is a straight A student and spends his senior year at Rydell helping out other with their homework for extra cash. He also gets cornered into helping with the talent show auditions by a couple of sorority girls at the school.

He is also good friends with Dolores Rebchuck, Paulette's little sister and wanna-be Pink Lady.
